Now that the business is well underway, we decided to take a step back an look at our company goals. Coastal Dreams Worldwide prides itself by being built on a foundation of trust, integrity, education and lasting relationships. What is an offshore property investment logistics company? Well, if you do not already know, offshore investing is not the easiest thing in the world to do. CDW's mission is to be the Fed-Ex of offshore property investment in Central America. We strive to reduce your risk, and eliminate the hassles that typically go along with these types of investment opportunities if you were to do it yourself. Think about shipment logistics companies. Just because you don't have a clue on how to get a package to London England in two days doesn't mean you can't get it done. You let a shipping logistics company manage it for you. On November 15, 2007 Coastal Dreams Worldwide held an exciting and informational educational seminar to a crowd of over 20 investors from the Boise Idaho area.
The Event was sponsored by Paradise Development Holdings SA. Paradise is a 7 year veteran of offshore investing in Nicaragua. Alex from Paradise did a great talk on Nicaragua despite a less than functional set of vocal cords. (Alex - Glad you are feeling better!) This was supported with great color commentary from his partner Ken, who came all the way from Nicaragua (he now lives there full time) with some great stories from their 7 year ride.
They started off the discussion with a talk on their experience in the business and local communities where they work. Pardise is very dedicated to giving back to the communities in which they work in. They have contributed to the expansion of the library system, built baseball fields, lead the trash clean-up educational program, and provided much needed infrastructure throughout the town of San Juan Del Sur.
This was followed by a discussion on the types of questions that any investor (and their spouse!:) should look at before purchasing a foreign investment. They presented real estate growth rates through real life examples, and presented stunning pictorial evidence of Nicaragua's charm and beauty.
At the end, I believe everyone walked away with a much better appreciation for this amazing country as well as the great investment potential that still available even today.
| Investment Offering: Las Laderas Coastal dreams formally announced its newest property investment offering. The opportunity at Las Laderas Development was presented to a group of Boise Idaho Investors on November 15, 2007. Las Laderas is a 200 acre parcel of land with unbelievable developmental potential. Located in Northwestern Nicaragua's Cosiguina Peninsula, the countryside is absolutely stunning.
This area of Nicaragua has been mostly ignored by investors, however it has the same great features as the rest of the Pacific Coast, and is starting to see early signs of movement in this direction. In fact in the summer issue of 'Investment & Tourism Nicaragua' there was a significant article dedicated to the Northwestern part of the country and some of the investments happening in that area.
