Living the Coastal Dream
Feb 14th, 2009 by Kevin
I came across this great story today about a couple of families from Jacksonville Florida that used their savings and bought a piece of land 3 years ago in Nicaragua, started a business called The Surf Sanctuary, and have been living the ‘coastal dream’ every since. How did they do it? According to the article after buying the initial lot they sold off smaller pieces to friends and family, to create the cash to build their small resort. They now have 4 rental casitas, a restaurant, swimming pool with volleyball and a swim up bar, and a beach shop with Internet! Not bad. (No doubt law 306 came in very handy for these entrepreneurial families) Hopefully on one of our future trips we will be able to stay at what looks to be a great little getaway. Its always good to see these types of personal success stories, and we wish them all the best.
