We received an exciting email from one of our friends in San Juan about a Mountain Bike race debuting this year - The San Juan Howler! As described:
18K of Ox paths, single track, dirt roads, and river beds make ‘the Howler’ a mountain biking adventure to make even the most experienced racers HOWL!
The event is being organized by Bodhin Adventure Services with 3 separate divisions and prize money! Plus 25% of all race proceeds go towards helping make the local community a better place with their community partner Communidad Connect.
In addition to this being a great opportunity for any mountain bike enthusiast, this is just the beginning of a growing interest in the area in and around San Juan Del Sur. San Juan is quickly becoming the main hub of tourist activity in the country. With the only cruise ship port in Nicaragua, beautiful beaches and a great town that continues to improve upon itself, events such as this race and other activities will continue to grow and provide fun things to do for tourists and locals alike.
