Above is a picture of the SolarPedalflo. No electricity required, No engine required. Solar is the primary power with human power as the secondary option. This is a patented product by MWI (Moving Water Industries) Corporation in Florida.
SolarPedalflo is capable of producing 12,000 liters of filtered, chlorinated and pressurized water daily. Each unit costs about $15,000.
The company has installed pumps across 12 African countries and is now starting to introduce the technology in Central and South America.
That’s phenomenal - what amazing progress we’ve made here.
I work with the American Chemistry Council, and its crazy, but only 100 years ago access to clean, safe, disinfected drinking water didn’t exist. It was the advent of Chlorine that really brought safe water to the masses, and that wasn’t all that long ago.
Today we have things like this amazing piece of technology that pump thousands of liters of clean water for use, and its powered by the sun.
Amazing - how far have we come?
