We live in interesting and historic times with the current credit crisis. It seems that this is all everyone is talking about these days. I actually read an interesting article today that compared the current situation in the US to the Japanese financial crisis of the 1990’s, but I digress…
As most investors know - in down markets you can often find some great investment opportunities. However the biggest problem is often finding the capital to take advantage of these opportunities. The credit issues in the US are of course having trickle down effects on other parts of the world. Nicaragua is no exception, creating some amazing investment opportunities. I saw a listing of some Nicaragua property foreclosures today that had some spectacular lots at 50% discount or more for a cash buy! This is on top of normal prices that are already 4-5 times less than Costa Rica only a few hundred miles to the south.
Money sitting in your IRA account’s can be used to pick up these properties as an investment if structured properly. And that’s not all - did you know that you can also pool money with other people you know to buy larger properties which often represent an even better investment potential.
