Travelling where the dollar still means something
Mar 13th, 2008 by Kevin
MSNCB travel has an article about about traveling abroad to places where the US dollar will still get you somewhere. While the cost of traveling to Europe could be more than enough to ruin any fun you would have over there, there is still lots of buying power south of the border. Many people don’t even know that El Salvador and Panama actually use the dollar as their currency. Also the travel won’t kill you with Jet Lag. I flew to Hawaii over christmas and then to Nicaragua for business in January and its actually short travel time to Nicaragua, plus only a one hour time difference (I live in mountain time) during the winter and no time difference during daylight savings. Until the dollar starts to gain some better traction latin america a great deal and a great adventure.
